Deep trench

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 12:10, Fri 10 November 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5196597.

A trench has been made by workmen and only filled with loose stone. The stone is now being eroded by traffic and the trench that’s about 1ft wide is now around 10 inches deep across the road. It’s extremely dangerous and also slows people while turning into the junction it’s on. It’s also difficult as road works next to it (no workers present) is blocking the other half of the road. I’m a HGV driver using this road all day and it’s very dangerous swinging in because you leave the rear of the lorry on the busy A47 while trying not to cause damage to my vehicle. Extremely dangerous for motorcycles. It’s been like it for two days that I know of and have photographed it.
