Blocked gutter in central reservation

The drainage gutter in the central reservation is blocked by soil, vegetation, road signs and traffic cones so that in heavy rain it overflows on to the main fast lane carriageway.

Updates

  • This still has not been addressed and as a regular user of this section of the M1 in both directions from Jct 37 to Jct 24 the drainage channel at the side of the central barriers are blocked in many areas and allow rain water to back up then spill out from the gully channel into lane 3 of the motorway posing a serious risk to motorists.
