Reported via mobile in the Abandoned Materials (NH) category anonymously at 18:31, Wed 1 November 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5163633.

A1307 jct 24, 40mph signs and "speed limit in force for safety reasons" signs abandoned on this stretch to jct 25 Signs have been there 3 years and are clearly now abandoned and incorrect. The limit is actually in place because of the council. Either fix the problem, remove the signs, or this will be done by the public.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report concerning the 40 mph speed limit on the A1307.

The speed limit is in place because the central reservation barrier is in need of repair. Once those repairs have been completed the speed limit will be removed.

The local authority are responsible for the barrier repairs. You should direct any question regarding timescales for these repairs to them.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
