Trees south bound entry slip a19 ne27 ord

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 11:03, Fri 27 October 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5143680.

Trees on the a19 entry slip road heading south from holystone roundabout need cutting down blocking all the sun from mine and other gardens when the sun does come out. 1 meter to 2 meters could be cut down would be great. Thanks.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways with regards to the issue of overhanging trees on the A19 entry slip. As part of our network wide surveys of our woodland plots and vegetation we’ve identified priority woodland plots where we are likely to get future customer issues about overhanging vegetation and this location is one of them.

Over the autumn/ winter, we will be surveying each of these locations in more detail and identifying where work is required and what type of work will need to be undertaken (e.g. cutting back branches or selective thinning). We will then produce a list of locations where work will need to take place over the next few years which our maintenance contractor can then start on. This will hopefully prevent small reactive works and enable us to manage full plots at a time which is much more efficient. Once works have been identified and programmed a letter drop for all residents adjacent to where works will be occurring will take place at least four weeks prior to any work starting. We trust this response is of help to you and thank you once again for contacting us if we can be of any further help please contact National Highway on 0300 123 5000 or by email on info@nationalhighways.co.uk.
