The Matrix sign has been broken for over a year.

Reported via mobile in the Electronic Sign (NH) category by Daniel Hubery at 22:49, Thu 12 October 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5092089.

There is a matrix sign going Northbound on the A46. It is situated just before a bridge that goes over the road to Hawton. The sign has been broken for over a year. It displays thick blocks of orange light and no information. If it is supposed to be displaying information, it is not. If it is properly broken, this is a waste of energy (and subsequently tax payers money).

Updates

  • This sign remains broken. I reported it over a year ago which beggars belief. Does everyone from National Highways drive under it and just think it’s not my problem? But it’s hardly surprising given that according to this webpage “please note updates are not sent to National Highways”. Mark

  • This sign is still not working correctly, with the bottom row constantly lit. If it's not going to be fixed it would be better to at least turn it off.
