Multiple lights not working

A large number of lamppost have failed between j1 and j2 all of the lamppost between j1 and j2 have failed.

  • Thank you for your report of a lighting outage on the M66 J1-2.

    The M66 is mainly unlit to help us support the aims of the Department for Transport to reduce carbon emissions by switching off lighting on carefully selected stretches of motorway. Sites have been chosen where there is a good safety record and where analysis shows that the lights can be switched off without increasing risks to road user safety.
