Traffic light sequence is faulty

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5083868.

The sequence on the traffic lights going onto the tollbar island only lets out 2 cars but stays on green for those already on the island for minutes. Queues all the way down Siskin Drive and through the industrial estate has been a queue time of 50 minutes this evening! Absolutely ridiculous!

  • The queing this morning at 07:50 was already back to the island at middelmarch buisness park .

    My colleagues spent one hour last night to get from siskin parkway east to the island on the A45 absolutely ridiculous , an ambulance would be unable to leave the estate

  • Jammed last night & took 1hr 30mins instead of 40 mins, jammed this morning journey took 1hr 20 mins, grid-locked right now & looking at similar tonight. I already do a 14hr day & this just takes the mickey. Any of you clowns gonna reimburse people's time, petrol & missed time with their kids, thought not. Jokers!!!

  • Traffic from Rugby at 645am this morning was already at a standstill at the A423 merge due to the Siskin Dr traffic light sequence. 25min journey turned into 1h30. These lights are also dangerous for cyclists, I sometimes ride past and cars drive through the pedestrian/cyclists crossing when the light is green so the sequence definitely need sorting out. This is not a recent problem looking at all the updates and numerous reports from others so why is it still not resolved?

  • Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue. If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
