Potholes and cracks

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 12:51, Sun 8 October 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5074017.

Holes (deep) appearing where roundabout joins top of slip down to clockwise carriageway at Jct 4. Getting worse and needs filling NOW, all across carriageway. Why have your inspectors not picked this up (again!)

Updates

  • When will these be fixed?

  • Waiting for Tarmac?

Posted anonymously at 09:51, Mon 4 December 2023

  • Probably. It amazes me that they still have the nerve to claim the network is inspected for faults weekly. Like weekly every decade more like!!!

  • Could a Lighthouse or warning system be implemented to alert Motorists in the meantime please?

  • I think we simply need wholesale change at the top of Highways England, or National Highways as they are now calling themselves, all at taxpayers expense. Talk about wasting taxpayers money on the wrong priority like rebranding, and our idiot government who let them get away with it and keep writing the cheques with OUR MONEY. How about performance related pay instead of all the executive bonuses for NOTHING! You will laugh if you look at their website where apparently SAFETY IS THEIR TOP PRIORITY!! er,...No, don't think so! Now as bad as the water industry,.....and OUR BBC!!

  • Can someone in Authority please confirm who is responsible for this stretch of road? Then forward this report to the relevant body and ask that we are kept updated and in the loop. This would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

  • National Highways,of course. They are well aware of this issue, but chose to do nothing.Clearly directors remuneration is of greater importance to them!
