Pothole on the inside of the outer lane on the southern bridge.

My car caught a pothole with its OSF tyre as I was not able to see the pothole due to the poor lighting on the southern bridge at J8 on the M11. I now have a warning light on my dashboard for my cars front airbags which was not there before my car's tyre hit the pothole. The pothole caused an almighty bang inside my car making me to pull over to check my cars wheels for damage.

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the pothole at junction 8 of the M11. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue. If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
