Sunken gully ironwork

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5046170.

The eastbound carriageway on this section of the A626 through Tintwistle has 3 sunken gully drain covers that are getting worse by the day. The noise from lorries driving over them is horrendous, especially in the early hours, and has been for a few months. These drain covers require URGENT attention please.

    We've checked with our Service Delivery Team who've confirmed a job has been raised to re-set a sunken gully in this area, which is currently due to be undertaken within October. This is dependent upon our contractor receiving information about what other services such as electrical assets are present in the area.

    We'll update you further once we have a confirmed date for the work to be done.

  • We would like to update you further about sunken gully drain covers on the A628 near Tintwistle.

    We've checked with our Service Delivery Team who've confirmed a job has been raised to re-set 4 gullies in this area. A number of the gullies are also blocked and these will also be cleared. The work has been booked on a 28 day basis but is dependent upon our contractor receiving information about what other services such as electrical assets are present in the area.
