Pothole on lane 1 nearside

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5038973.

Significant abrupt pothole on nearside of lane 1. Caused significant damage to my alloy wheel on 20/9/23.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about the pothole on the M5.

    We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect.

    We've a patching programme that will be undertaken in the next couple of months to make the necessary repairs in the area.

    In the meantime we'll continue to monitor the area and should this become safety critical we'll instigate a repair.
