Sliproad for junction 3
Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 08:24, Tue 26 September 2023
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5031653.
There should be a set of traffic lights on the junction 3 slip road on the m18. There is regularly traffic queuing on the hard shoulder and a lot of traffic at a stand still which is causing a dangerous situation and if anybody dies here, it’s on you.
Left lane completely free due to being left or straight on, right hand lane completely backed up and spilling into the motorway.

Taking my daughter to the Railway station and was stopped on the M18 from entering the slip road. Several lorries had to pull out quickly to avoid the growing queue and I was terrified a distracted driver could plough into us (as it did on the A614 some years ago causing fatalities). Why doesn't this crucial roundabout have traffic lights, as your previous reporter suggests, this is a fatality waiting to happen)
