Bridge support/expansion joint

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 07:07, Fri 29 September 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5029254.

Over the last six months or so I have noticed that the loud chiming/banging noise is getting worse as HGV's pass over the South bound flyover, the noise can be heard whilst sat at the off ramp traffic lights on the A659. I am a civil engineer working on highways and superstructure, in my opinion the resonating vibration through the concrete deck would be something to investigate. Most probably a loose expansion joint or the bridge seating has play in it. There is a loud boom whenever HGV's pass overhead.
