Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 06:54, Mon 25 September 2023
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5027183.
The a63 is one surface and joins the m62 which is a different surface and is causing a really hard hump which at 70 mph is going to cause damage to smaller vehicles....andnit seems to be getting worse....its particularly bad in the middle lane

Thank you for making your report of 25 September 2023 about the carriageway where the M62 and A63 surfaces join. We understand your concerns and appreciate the time you've taken to contact us about this.
We've attended this location and assessed the issue you've highlighted. There's no immediate safety risk where the surface's join, however we've noticed that the A63 surface is a little worn in places which may contribute to an uneven surface. Our maintenance team will be considering options to rectify this problem in the near future.
We'll be looking at continuing to inspect this area as part of our routine patrols and should it be deemed unsafe, we'll schedule in works to correct any defects.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
Thank you again for contacting us about this. We hope that our response has satisfactorily answered your query. If there is anything we can help you with, please email or telephone our Contact Centre. They’re available 24 hours a day by phone: 0300 123 5000 or by email info@nationalhighways.co.uk.
