Pothole

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5023927.

Deep pothole before Jct 10 on the M5 southbound in the slow lane. I hit it yesterday Oct 22nd around 7.45pm and have damage to my front passenger alloy.

  • Thank you for making your report. Our inspection team have attended this location to assess the issue.

    There are no issues prior to junction 10 of the M5. There is a pothole before junction 11 of the M5 which we're aware of.

    We’re currently putting together a patching programme which will include this site with more resurfacing we need to undertake further down the M5. This work should be undertaken in the next couple of months. Our team are monitoring this pothole as part of their weekly safety inspections and will intervene should the defect deteriorate any further.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
