A1 slip northbound to POnteland Road - bulbs out and sequence totally out,

Leaving Ponteland Road heading across A167 - no lights and not enough time to get out in rush hour

  • Thank you for your report of 22 September Thank you for your report of 22 September 2023 about the traffic sequence and lamps not working at the A1/A167 junction. We appreciate the time you’ve taken to report this to us.

    After investigating your report, we can advise that works were carried out on the evening of 24 September 2023 to repair signalling cables and replace various aspects of the lights at this junction. This includes replacing the lamps. All lights in this area have since been tested following these repairs and are working to the required standard.

    We’re hopeful this improves your experience using this section of the Strategic Road Network.
