Regarding the bridge maintenance which has recently occurred on the road bridge on the B5130 over the A55.
Whilst walking northbound, from Huntington towards Chester on the south side of the road (opposite side of the road from Rake & Pickel pub) I noticed what resemble scaffolding clamps left on the bridge on the exposed side of the fencing. There are two, one positioned over each side of the carriageway. They are positioned over the embankments so should not drop onto the road but could fall in the event of high winds.
Thank you for making your report about some scaffolding clamps on a bridge over a carriageway. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue. If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
Kind regards National Highways
