Dangerous overgrown verges

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 23:39, Tue 12 September 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4988270.

Last Friday, a family were torn apart when a father and his two children were killed on this stretch of road because the speed limit is too fast for the road conditions. Yet nothing is done despite repeated accidents.

The road is too fast yet highways agency still do not push back the verges along the footpath pushing pedestrians closer and closer to the road. Will it take my children bring hit by an oncoming lorry to finally get this sorted? Please just get someone out to push back the verges, clear the nettles and do what you can to make this pavement as safe as it can be. You have a responsibility to maintain this path and a duty of care to the public. Highways agency, you are failing in every aspect.
