Litter on the embankment - causing rats

Reported via mobile in the Layby/ Emergency Area (NH) category anonymously at 08:43, Mon 11 September 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4979264.

A38 - DE13 0EE. Theres a lot of litter the embankment that backs onto my mum house. This is causing a rodent problem all along the road. She has Elderberry Trees that overhang into her garden from the side of the road, which is causing the Rats to go into her back garden and eat then, when they fall. A number of neighbours have also seen the rats in there gardens as well. My mums house number is 86. She is elderly and cant really do anything about the problem, as the council wont come out to sort the problem.
