Banding between road sections between Clacket Lane services and J10

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category by Nigel Fisher at 19:58, Fri 8 September 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4974120.

Between the exit slip from Clacket Lane services and the entry slip for J10, the banding between road sections is no longer there, leaving a channel about 15cms wide and 5cms deep and several metres long. This presents a major hazard for motorcycles. My front wheel got caught in the channel today and I very narrowly avoided an accident. A less experienced motorcyclist would probably have crashed. Given traffic densities, this could easily prove fatal if the biker were to be hit by another vehicle. It needs to be fixed with the upmost urgency.
