Sign missing

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4957444.

At the beginning of the single lane carriageway within the 50-mph section, om the middle island, toward Cantley on the A47, the road narrows 2 lanes into 1 sign was previously damaged and placed on the ground. The sign has since been removed without a replacement sign erected. The road narrows sign within the single lane carriage was heading towards Cantley on the near side is obscured by foliage. and cannot be seen until at its location.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding a broken sign and overgrown vegetation on the A47. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

    We've cut back some vegetation on the verge side.

    We were aware of the broken sign in the central reservation. The road layout here will soon be changing so this sign will not be need permanent replacement, as it will no longer be required.

    We've erected a temporary sign to be in place till the road layout is changed.
