Trees grown high blocking view of the roundabout

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 20:26, Sun 3 September 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4954684.

The bushes/trees on the Priory Wood Roundabout near Stansted Airport when approaching from the direction of Round Coppice Road are grown too much meaning the view of vehicles on the roundabout is obstructed making it very difficult to see and judge when to emerge onto the roundabout.

Updates

  • Thank you for informing our Customer Contact Centre about the overgrown vegetation on the A120 at the Priory wood Roundabout. I appreciate you taking the time to report this.

We carry out regular inspections of our roads and cut back trees and vegetation where we find that it’s limiting visibility of road signs, traffic signals, at junctions or the view ahead.

I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team. They will inspect the area and if necessary, arrange for the vegetation to be cut.

    Kind regards National Highways
