Damaged temporary No HGV signs need removing

Reported via mobile in the Damage to Sign (NH) category anonymously at 16:04, Wed 30 August 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4942082.

Temporary No HGV signs that have been on this traffic island for months have been knocked over many times and damaged. On occasions they end up back in the road. These old signs are dangerous, not to mention unsightly and need to be removed.

I logged this with KCC whose inspector went out and took photos but then passed it back to me to log with you!

Please can someone take responsibility for this and remove this damaged signage.

It is located on the Ivychurch Road junction with the A2070 and is currently on the traffic island.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report concerning the damaged signs. We’re aware of the damaged sign and are looking to address the issue with a replacement A frame signage as soon as it is possible.
