Growth blocking junction and pavement

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 15:40, Wed 16 August 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4898532.

Growth of weeds etc from a cut tree has reduced the pavement for pedestrians and made it dangerous for cars to pull out from Glyne Ascent onto the De La Warr Road as approaching traffic cannot be easily seen. It will become more dangerous the longer this growth is left as drivers do not have a clear view of on coming traffic.

  • We appreciate you taking the time to notify us about the overgrown vegetation on the footpath at this location, and we’re sorry that on this occasion the time frames to cut back the vegetation is taking longer than we would’ve liked. We’re currently behind with our vegetation maintenance work in the area and apologise for any inconvenience or frustration this may cause you and the community. Our inspector is in the process of prioritising areas that require additional urgent remedial work whilst our maintenance teams look to catch up with the vegetation maintenance works within the wider area. We will continue to monitor the situation and hope to resolve these issues soon.
