Merge sign missing

Reported via desktop in the Damage to Sign (NH) category anonymously at 12:13, Mon 14 August 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4889738.

The sign telling you that the overtaking lane ends is missing. Heading onto the M60 from Bredbury Westwards down Crookilly way. Just after the traffic lights the overtaking lane ends and merges but you cannot see this due to the bend in the road and the sign is missing.

The resulting carnage of people forcing their way into the left lane and people driving on the hatched area is going to result in accidents.

Actually this junction has plenty of room to allow both lanes to merge onto the M60 and the white lines should be redrawn accordingly.
