Signs in the Hindhead Tunnel

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4883632.

The signs in the tunnel are often random speed limits part the way through they will Drop to 40 and then national. It is dangerous and happens at least once a week. Either signs are faulty or not all turned back to national . I have been nearly rear ended a number of times or had people brake sharply to go from 70 to 40. This morning a prime example of it and which resulted in me being flashed and hooted where the van behind me hadn’t seen the change. Also the tunnel is filthy and hasn’t been cleaned in at least 3 years.
