Bridge joint

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4869457.

The bridge joint looked to be failing in lane 1 heading towards j38 a1 south interchange. Caused a flat tyre ti my car

  • Thanks you for your email of 8 August 2023 about a possible bridge joint failure which caused you to have a flat tyre. We appreciate you taking the time to contact us about the issue.

    Our inspectors have visited the location and have confirmed the A638 which is the road going over the A1 appears to have recently been renewed and is the responsibility of the Local Authority which in this case is City of Doncaster Council. They can be contacted via www.doncaster.gov.uk.

    The bridge is however the responsibility of National Highways and the possible joint failure has been passed to the maintenance team to investigate further.
