Underside of the carriageway is falling away.

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath issue (NH) category anonymously at 15:13, Sun 6 August 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4863553.

There are a number of locations on the underside of the raised section of the M32 at Junction 2 where the concrete was fallen away and expose the reinforcement steel rods which are very corroded.

In particular, at one location (at the centre of the junction) a reinforcing bar appears to have failed and is hanging down from the roof.

I have taken a photograph - and I can forward this to you, as needed.

  • Thank you for making your report. We've asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue. If any work is needed, they'll arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we we'll continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
