Faded road markings

Reported via desktop in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category by Harry Singh at 10:28, Thu 3 August 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4854438.

The road markings on the approach to the roundabout (and on the roundabout itself) from the M40 are badly faded. It is very difficult to see which lane you should be in to safely travel around the roundabout. When will these be repainted? They have been faded for months now (maybe even over 1 year).

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways.

We would like to confirm that the area indicated is still to be completed and we have a provisional date of the 19th of August – this is however subject to road space approval and appropriate weather conditions.

This work is part of a much larger scheme on and around the M40 J15 island and approaches are already completed.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
