Thank you for contacting National Highways via FixMyStreet on 25 July 2023 regarding signage on approach to the A195(M) junction of the A1M.
We appreciate you taking the time to share with us your suggestions for how we might improve the signage in this area of our network. We understand your concerns and welcome your proposals.
We’d like to advise that the issue you reported has been investigated and I can confirm the signs present are a 1/3-mile marker sign, countdown marker posts up to the junction and a sign at the point of exiting the A1M.
National Highways works closely with the Local Authority in this area who often advise us on necessary changes to the information displayed on signage across the network.
Thank you again for contacting us. If there is anything we can help you with, please email or telephone our Contact Centre. They’re available 24 hours a day by phone: 0300 123 5000 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, please visit the National Highways website at nationalhighways.co.uk.
