Potholes which are now large area of very defective road surface

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4790189.

As you drive onto the A2 from the Bean slip-road heading London bound there is a large area of very defective road surface. This has been there absolutely ages. It is known about as the carriageway has had a very makeshift repair This is dangerous as drivers swerve across the A2 trying to avoid this area

  • Thank you for your report concerning the road surface on the A2 near Bean.

    We’re aware of the condition of the road in the area. We have an upcoming resurfacing scheme planned for the A2 between the M25 and the junction at Bean. This is due to take place during quarter 4 of this year and quarter one of next year.

    In the meantime, we will continue to monitor this area during our weekly inspections and raise any safety defects for remedial work if they should arise.
