Giant Hogweed (Invasive Species)

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category by Dr Michael David Salt at 09:41, Fri 7 July 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4759693.

Upon exiting M6 northbound at J21, to the left of the exit sliproad, I noted several plants that appear to be Giant Hogweed, which is an invasive species and harmful to human health. Being in the car at the time, I could not positively identify the red speckling on the stems, but the appearance, height (~3 m) and flower head size (~50 cm diameter) leads me to believe these are giant hogweed.
