Over abd undergrowth blocking cycle path next to A64 and slip road
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category by Steve Galloway at 15:26, Tue 4 July 2023
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4749163.
In May I reported that the cycle track which links Tadcaster to York was becoming overgrown. You responded by say that the trees, hedges, weeds and grass would be cut back during June.
No such maintenance work has taken place
As a consequwence, the part of the path located next to the Pike Hills Golf Club & the Tadcaster Road slip road is now completely blocked.
This is in breach of the requirements of the 1980 Highway Act and I now require you to take immediate action to have the path - which is part of the public highway - reopened.
