At what point do they put up litter cameras? This roundabout is like a mini landfill, always litter everywhere

  • Thank you for contacting our Customer Contact Centre about litter on the M11 at Junction 7. I appreciate you taking the time to bring this matter to our attention.

    We share your concerns that litter on our roads is unsightly as well as a risk to wildlife and the environment. It’s a huge challenge to keep roads free of litter and debris. If people didn’t drop litter in the first place it wouldn’t need to be picked up.

    We carry out regular inspections of our motorways and schedule litter-picking activities for any areas requiring attention. Your concerns have been passed to our maintenance team. They will inspect the area and if it falls below the required standard, arrange for the litter to be cleared. Thank you once again
