Dangerous road surface

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 17:16, Mon 26 June 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4718595.

Southbound lane 2, the road surface is worn away and created a large dangerous pothole which could cause an accident. When you drive over this area it pulls the car or causes drivers to serve due to the size of the surface damage. The patch is at least 5 feet long and an irregular shape and depth. I believe it is very dangerous and needs to be urgently repaired

  • This large area of damaged road surface is starting to cause real concern, Today 19/07/2023 i was traveling in the nearside lane southbound with a vehicle overtaking me in the outside lane, as the overtaking vehicle travelled over the damaged carriageway surface it was pulled to the near side making me take evasive action swerving to my left side, i drive a ford ranger & able to control the vehicle as it moved onto the nearside verge, a small car may not have been so lucky.
