Multiple sunken ironworks on A5 just past traffic lights

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 07:29, Mon 26 June 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4715152.

Multiple sunken ironworks grouped close together just past the traffic lights on the A5 in Bridgtown at junction with Walkmill Lane westbound. The road surface is also deteriorating around the ironworks. A hazard for hgvs but as a nearby resident I am bombarded throughout the 24 hour period with very loud and reverberating noise when large vehicles crash into the identified problem area. This problem has been present for several months now but has worsened over the last month considerably.
