De Restriction sign needs greying out again. Check movement Sensors.

Reported via mobile in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 12:30, Fri 23 June 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4708325.

You have been working on the motorway bridge for some time and for safety reasons the 40mph zone on New Hey Road was extended to include the motorway bridge which meant the de-restriction signs were 'grey out'. This has now weathered off and motorists are confronted with 40, derestricted signs then 40 signs. This would be difficult to enforce to protect motorists who are keeping to the temporary 40 limit or your workforce. Movement sensors on ATS seem intelligent for Huddersfield bound traffic but slow to alter for Manchester bound traffic.
