Chevrons vanishing into vegetation

Reported via mobile in the Vegetation (grass/hedges/trees) (NH) category anonymously at 10:10, Fri 23 June 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4707518.

On this slip road into Jct 8 M11, on the right hand side edge are a long sequence of black/white chevron boards which are slowly vanishing because of the overgrown bushes etc around them.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting our Customer Contact Centre about the overgrown vegetation on the sliproad at junction 8 of the M11. I appreciate you taking the time to report this.

We carry out regular inspections of our roads and cut back trees and vegetation where we find that it’s limiting visibility of road signs, traffic signals, at junctions or the view ahead.

I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team. They will inspect the area and if necessary, arrange for the hedges to be cut. Kind regards
