Large break up of road formation

Large break up of the road surface following a broken water main in the main carrigeway. The break up is continuing at this time as the leak has not been repaired. The holes are affecting both carriageways East and West. South East Water have been notified but without any response. This is reported as grave concerns over vehicle damage and other road users.

  • Thank you for your report concerning the burst water pipe and damage to the road surface. We’re aware of the damage to the road. A repair by Southern Water’s contractors is currently taking place and is expected to conclude tomorrow. Kind regards
