Poor surface and markings

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4692782.

The entire section from the start of Kent Street nearest to Hastings and all the way through to Blackbrooks garden centre is awful. Poorly patched potholes, drain covers dropping, and little to no road markings left are making the stretch very dangerous.

  • Thank you for your report about the carriageway condition.

    As part of the A21 Safety Package https://nationalhighways.co.uk/ our-roads/ south-east/ a21-safety-package/ we're refreshing the road markings later this year.

    Longer term, we currently have a scheme in design which will predominantly target carriageway skid deficient areas but will include other prominent defects. The construction date has yet to be determined.
