Road layout changed, sign obscured and lane markings incorrect
Reported via desktop in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 12:22, Mon 19 June 2023
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4689571.
This road has had it's layout changed without any warning signs, There were 3 lanes to go round the roundabout, Left lane went straight over and 2 went right. You have changed the layout of this road to two lanes and both have been marked with arrows for straight over, neither are marked for right. The board which potentially should indicate which lane to get into is partially hidden behind trees and doesn't have any actual lanes on it clearly marked. Concerns people are going right in both lanes - naturally the rules are usually if its past 12oclock its the right lane unless sign posted but seeing as the road layout has completely changed d was 2 lanes right for several years people are using both lanes to go right and possibility of accident occurring.

Thank you for your report concerning the changes to the lane markings on the A47 Gorleston on Sea. I have passed your report on to the Route manager who informs me that there are plans to change the road markings in the next 3 to 4 weeks. Thank you again for taking the time to highlight this issue to us.
Kind regards
