Temporary 40mph signs should be made permanent

40mph signs have been temporary for several months possibly over a year for no reason. There are no road works and it seems they are just there as convenient speed restrictions for the weekly mobile police cameras. If they are specifically to reduce speed for a reason they should be turned into permanent signs on posts.
