So when you built this scheme in 2016 (2015) you made it 2 lanes merge into 1 lane which is a stupid idea so come and widen this bridge to make 2 lanes go over,

We can confirm a full feasibility assessment was completed prior to the scheme taking place. If the bridge was widened to accommodate the continuation of two lanes a section where the merge from southbound slip road traffic would also have to be widened to three lanes. It would mean that the railway bridge further down the carriageway would not accommodate the three lanes. The A184 would also have to be widened up to the Southern edge of Redheugh Bridge. The costs for this would not be justifiable at the time that the scheme was constructed.

Dear National Highways, this scheme were I want 2 lanes going over this bridge so when going up to the southbound sliproad make it give way or make it merge like a slip roads do I do want 2 lanes over this bridge but there's not a lot of room you have to wide loads on this bridge to make it wider but you need to move the kerb and stuff to make the lane what randomly merges which is a couple centimetres behind me we don't need 3 lanes but extend the sliproad because it would be harder joining the carriage way and add an SOS area ( emergency refuse area) to. and new road surface and new LED lighting. I hope this scheme gets built then,
