Dangerous 40mph limit

40mph limit every morning only between Junction 11 and halfway towards J12. This slows down traffic unnecessarily, and is dangerous due to cars driving too close to each other and changing lanes suddenly in search of a faster lane.

    We’re sorry to hear that some of the road users were driving erratically during the temporary speed limit reduction and putting the safety of others at risk. Unfortunately, as we are not an enforcement agency there’s nothing we can do to prevent the few drivers who behave like this. However, the police are able to step in and act accordingly if you are able to contact them with all the details.
