Updates

  • This is also an issue for traffic flowing southbound on the A194 from the Mill Lane roundabout towards the A194(M).

There is a very short amount of green time resulting in a long queue back towards the Mill Lane roundabout.

  • Thank you for your email of 14 June 2023 about the traffic lights on the A184 northbound heading towards Newcastle being out of sync. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused and appreciate you taking the time to contact us about the issue.

We've checked and can confirm that South Tyneside Council were carrying out works on the approach to the roundabout, which we believe had an impact on the timings. Works have since been concluded and timings at this junction should now be running as usual.
