Traffic cone light on carriageway just before junction 35 northbound

Reported via mobile in the Roadworks (NH) category anonymously at 14:38, Mon 12 June 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4661723.

Approx 10 mins ago I was approaching J 35 and was driving past roadworks in situ there. I was looking out for the gap to exit onto J35. There was a lorry in front of me who slowed down so I did too and suddenly from underneath the lorry a traffic cone lamp that has somehow come loose came out from under the lorry and wedged under my front wheel arch. I was able to quickly get onto the slip road safely and pulled in the lay-by and managed to dislodge the light and left it on the grass verge. I found the battery which was intact. I drove on but am letting you know in case the site need checking for other debris
