Damaged manhole cover in pavement

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4660010.

Badly cracked manhole cover on the pavement beside A259 near the entrance to the Lucknow Place car park and publi toilets. The hole in the manhole is a serious trip hazard and needs replacement urgently. It is immediately beside the entrance to the car park, in the pavement where the path leads from the road to the toilets.

  • Thank you for your report concerning a broken manhole cover by the entrance to the carpark in Rye.

    This does not appear on National Highways Asset list and is possibly not for National Highways, please check the manhole cover to see if it is a utility cover and contact them urgently to get repaired.

    Our inspector will review this and will arrange any required work if the cover is ours to maintain.
