Road works sign 50, Variable speed sign 40, Camera caught 40.... Bad signage!

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4638150.

Got a speeding ticket, This was due to poor signage. the speed was reduced to 40mph on the signs above... shortly after a few mile down there was road work signs saying 50MPH on the side, so I sped up to the 50mph. unfortunately I was flashed further down the motorway for doing 50mph in a 40mph variable speed limit. should the contracting company be held responsible. This is altering the overall variable limit!
