Traffic flow

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 10:31, Sun 4 June 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4628832.

Traffic trying to go right into town competes with traffic coming out of town heading west on A14. A queue forms of this road sometimes onto the carriageway. A simple solution would be some sort of queue sensor half way up the slip road that activates part-time traffic lights just under the bridge to allow traffic on a slip road to actually proceed right into town.

The current situation is traffic skips the queue then cuts in front to turn right cause in potential incidents.
