Technology causing risk of an accident

Reported via mobile in the Street lighting (NH) category anonymously at 15:46, Fri 2 June 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4624322.

Was in the slow lane proceeding East when information flashed up of a car abandoned so I gradually moved from the slow lane then confronted by two red x's and two '40' squares so that I was in an x-lane unable due to traffic to move in to a 40 Lane therefore breaking the law as I couldn't get in beside me I accelerated past cars of a similar speed and entered the 40 lane in front slowing to 40 having passed under the red x I was double fleshed for doing more than 40 in a closed Lane if I had not carried out the described maneuver the alternative was unthinkable because it would have meant breaking on an open motorway with no impediment in front of me and probably caused an accident this was a totally unacceptable arrangement that I could have dealt with much more efficiently had their not been threatening signing stressing the situation enormously and unnecessarily the motorway being clear in front!
